Duyi Li is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Texas Institute for Geophysics (UTIG) within The University of Texas at Austin. Her research focuses on seismology, radioglaciology, and airborne geophysics, with an emphasis on seismic wave propagation, lithospheric attenuation modeling, and glaciological applications.
- Ph.D. in Geology, University of Missouri – Columbia
- B.Sc. in Geophysics, University of Science and Technology of China
Dr. Li's current work at UTIG involves analyzing multi-polarized airborne ice-penetrating radar data to constrain the boundary conditions of the Antarctic Ice Sheet. She is actively contributing to the Open Polar Radar project, which leverages geophysical techniques to study englacial fabric structures and advance polar ice dynamics research. Her scientific contributions integrate traditional seismological methods with interdisciplinary applications in planetary systems habitability.
As part of UTIG's research teams, she collaborates with partners such as the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences and the Center for Planetary Systems Habitability, combining geophysical and planetary science approaches to address earth systems challenges.
