Assoc. Prof. Duygu SARISOY is affiliated with the Department of Foreign Language Education at Middle East Technical University (METU), within the Faculty of Education. Her research focuses on psycholinguistics, child language development, and language processing, particularly in Turkish and cross-linguistic contexts. She investigates incremental language comprehension mechanisms in children and adults, with recent collaborations on Syrian refugee children's cognitive and linguistic development. Notable grants include a British Academy Newton Fellowship (2018-2020) and TUBITAK support for studies on Turkish morphosyntax interpretation. Her work spans experimental linguistics, bilingualism, and developmental psychology. Current projects explore implicit causality in Turkish verbs, partitivity cues, and neurocognitive accounts of language processing. Professional activities include collaborations with Harvard, Boston College, and Edinburgh University researchers, and affiliations with METU's Cognitive Science Program.
