معرفی
Dr. Dustin Little is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biology at Toronto Metropolitan University. He leads The Little Lab, focusing on molecular mechanisms of disease through structural biology and microbiology. His research intersects biochemistry and pathogen biology, with emphasis on protein interactions and infectious diseases.
Research Expertise
Dr. Little's work spans:
- Bacteriology & Host-Pathogen Dynamics: Investigating microbial virulence factors.
- Protein Biochemistry: Phosphorylation mechanisms and 3D structure-function relationships.
- Glycobiology: Role of glycans in infection and immunity.
- COVID-19: Molecular aspects of viral pathogenesis.
Teaching & Academic Service
He teaches advanced biochemistry courses including Glycobiology (BCH 550) and Protein Structure (BCH 560). Professionally, he contributes to peer review for health research grants and participates in crystallography and microbiology societies.
Laboratory
The Little Lab employs structural biology tools to address biomedical questions, offering research opportunities in protein analysis and pathogen-host interactions.
