Dustin D. Stewart is an Associate Professor of English and Comparative Literature at Columbia University. His research focuses on the persistence of traditions in British literature and culture from the Restoration through the 18th century, with interdisciplinary connections to philosophy, aesthetics, and religious writing. He teaches courses on poetry and poetics, early modern Europe, and the history of the novel.

Research Focus
His scholarship examines how traditions adapt through historical transitions, particularly in literature's relationship to religion, embodiment, and environmental consciousness.
