Professor Dusan Losic is a leading nano scientist at The University of Adelaide, affiliated with the School of Chemical Engineering under the Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Technology. He currently serves as Group Leader and Deputy Director of the ARC Research Hub for Advanced Manufacturing with 2D Materials and previously directed the ARC Research Hub for Graphene Enabled Industry Transformation.
- Research Focus: Design and application of graphene and 2D nanomaterials for health, environmental, agricultural, energy, and industrial innovations, bridging fundamental and translational research.
- Leadership: Founded the ARC Graphene Hub (2017–2023), co-leads AM2D Hub (2023–2027), and co-chairs the Australian-European Graphene Biennale workshop.
- Funding: Secured over $35M in competitive research grants, including $15M from industry partners for 30+ graphene-related projects.
- Mentoring: Trained 250+ researchers, including 37 PhD, 40 Master’s, and 100+ Honours students as principal or co-supervisor.
- Professional Activities: Involved in international graphene standardization (ISO/TC229, IEC/TC113) and delivered 250+ invited talks, including 10 plenaries.
