Dumitru Mihaila

Dumitru Mihaila is a Visiting Professor affiliated with the Department of History and Geography at the Faculty of History and Geography, University Stefan cel Mare of Suceava, Romania. He participated in the "Public Lectures with 50 Invited Professors" program developed by the University of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova.

His research focuses on climate evolution, variability factors (cosmic, telluric, and anthropogenic), and modern methods for monitoring and analyzing climatic data. In a 2016 videoconference, he presented findings on climate trends in Moldova over the past 18,000 years, emphasizing the impacts of climatic fluctuations on the environment and society, including potential weather-climatic risks.
