Dubi Kelmer is Professor of Mathematics at Boston College specializing in number theory and dynamical systems. He holds a Ph.D. from Tel Aviv University and B.Sc. from Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Research Focus: Develops analytical frameworks connecting number theory with dynamical systems, particularly homogeneous dynamics and ergodic theory applications to counting problems. Recent work examines distribution patterns in lattice orbits.
Teaching: Leads courses in number theory, abstract algebra, and mathematical foundations. Mentors graduate students in spectral geometry and Diophantine approximation.
Student Advising: Current and former advisees include Shucheng Yu (PhD 2018), Ian Hoover (PhD 2023), and Cemre Yavus (ongoing PhD).
