Hee Oh is the Abraham Robinson Professor of Mathematics at Yale University's Department of Mathematics. Her research focuses on Lie groups, dynamics, number theory, Kleinian groups, and hyperbolic geometry. She holds a Ph.D. from Yale University (1997).
Her work bridges geometric group theory with number theory and dynamical systems, contributing to areas like homogeneous dynamics and lattice point counting problems.
Notable achievements include the 2015 Satter Prize in Mathematics, 2017 Guggenheim Fellowship, 2018 Ho-Am Prize in Science, and election to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences (2024).
Recent research explores applications of ergodic theory to number theory and geometric structures, with studies on equidistribution of orbits in homogeneous spaces and spectral gap properties. Articles highlight interdisciplinary approaches linking dynamics to algebraic and geometric problems.
