Duane Akroyd

Dr. Duane Akroyd is a Professor in the Adult Workplace and Continuing Professional Education program at North Carolina State University. He holds a M.S. in Health Sciences Education from SUNY Buffalo and a Ph.D. in Occupational Education (Higher Education) from Southern Illinois University. His career spans community college teaching, administrative roles, and academic leadership.

His research focuses on workplace and behavioral variables influencing employee satisfaction, burnout, and organizational commitment, particularly in community college faculty and health professions. Key areas include technology adoption in education, healthcare workforce dynamics, and policy issues in health professions education.
