Duan Chen

Dr. Duan Chen is Associate Professor of Mathematics at UNC Charlotte with affiliate appointment in the School of Data Sciences. His research spans randomized linear algebra, PDEs, and computational biology.

Research Focus: Develops efficient algorithms for large-scale problems in machine learning, electromagnetics, and biological systems. Recent publications address kernel matrix compression and gene expression deconvolution.

Grant support includes NIH R01GM148971 (2022-2025) and NSF DMS 1619713 (2016-2019).
