Shaoyu Li

Shaoyu Li is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNC Charlotte). He holds a Ph.D. in Statistics and Quantitative Biology from Michigan State University. His research focuses on statistical genetics/genomics, developing computational methods for analyzing bulk tissue gene expression, and designing mHealth interventions for health disparities. He has held roles including Assistant Professor at UNC Charlotte and Assistant Member at St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Recent work includes developing algorithms for RNA-seq data deconvolution and geometric modeling in genomics.
