Drew Chapman holds multiple roles at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), including Director of Nationally Competitive Awards, Assistant Dean, and Director of the Russian Program in the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures. He teaches Russian language and culture courses and advises students on prestigious awards like the Gilman Scholarship, Critical Language Scholarship, and Rhodes Scholarship. His work spans undergraduate and graduate education, with a focus on fostering resilience and adaptability in candidates.

His personal interests include backpacking, trekking, and bikepacking, emphasizing environmental stewardship through activities like hiking the GR20 trail in Corsica and cycling from Pittsburgh to Washington D.C.
