Douglas McRay Daniels is an Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Music at Tufts University, where he serves as Music Director of the Tufts University Pep Band. He concurrently holds roles as Music Director of the Fall River Symphony Orchestra and Bentley University Chamber Orchestra, and has been an instrumental music instructor at Gann Academy since 2010. Daniels holds multiple Master of Music degrees in Orchestral Conducting, Trombone Performance, and Music Education, along with a BA in Trombone Performance from the University of Montevallo (1998).
His professional career includes extensive conducting experience across orchestras such as the Heartland Philharmonic, Marlborough Symphony, and Berlin Sinfonietta, as well as founding the 3rd Sundays @ 3 Chamber Music Series. He has been honored nationally and internationally for his contributions to music education and performance, including a composition premiered by the Boston Symphony Orchestra's Principal Tubist. Daniels actively promotes music as a bridge for cultural connection through innovative programs targeting young audiences.
