Douglas S. Massey is the Henry G. Bryant Professor of Sociology and Public Affairs at Princeton University, with a joint appointment in the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs. He directs the Office of Population Research and the Program in Population Studies. A distinguished academic, he is a member of the National Academy of Sciences, American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and American Philosophical Society.

Research Focus: Massey’s work spans international migration, race and housing, discrimination, urban poverty, and Latin America (particularly Mexico). He pioneered the Mexican Migration Project (1983-present), a critical longitudinal survey, and seven other national/bi-national surveys on migration and segregation.
