Douglas Bachorik

Douglas Bachorik is Professor and Chair of the Department of Music at Maranatha Baptist University (MBU), where he joined the faculty in 2023. He leads the Chamber Singers, serves on the Academic Committee (2023–24) and Leadership Council, and is actively involved in student life through small groups and workshops.

Doug Bachorik's research and professional work centers on the integration of music into Christian worship and spiritual formation. His experience spans decades of leadership in music education and ministry, particularly in international and community college settings. He is passionate about mentoring students in both performance and theological understanding of music.

His recent scholarly output includes the publication of a book titled New Heart, New Spirit, New Song, which explores the spiritual dimensions of music in Christian life.
