Doug Clarke serves as an Adjunct Instructor in the Department of Music and Theatre Arts at Monmouth University, teaching Applied Music: Guitar (MU 196) and Music Appreciation (MU 101) courses continuously from 2022 through the 2025 academic year.

A professional jazz guitarist trained under Tal Farlow, Clarke has performed with Joe Williams, Bruce Barth, Harry Allen, and the Nelson Riddle Orchestra, while also backing Shirley Jones, Jerry Vale, and Al Martino. His notable credits include a Rutgers concert featuring Wynton Marsalis, Jon Faddis, and Mulgrew Miller, appearances on over 20 commercial recordings, and composing the theme for PBS's "Healthy Heritage Kitchen".
His professional focus centers on jazz performance techniques, guitar pedagogy, contemporary composition, and music appreciation education, reflecting his dual commitment to academic instruction and active performance across New York, New Jersey, and international venues.
