Dorte Kousholt

Dorte Kousholt is an Associate Professor at the Danish Institute of Education, specializing in Educational Psychology at Aarhus University. Her work bridges critical psychology, social practice theory, and collaborative research methodologies.

• Research Themes: Cultural psychology, ethical dilemmas in child-family research, community-building practices, and school-home collaboration.
• Key Projects: SamHver (2022–2025), Green Transition as Worldcare (2022–2025), and Konflikter om børns skoleliv (2014–2018).

Her recent publications focus on child agency, situated ethics, and transgressing theory/practice divides through collaboration. Awards include the 2023 Best Practice Award in School-Based Family Counseling, a 2025 AUFF Mobility Scholarship, and a 2018 AUFF Travel Grant.
