Professor Dorothee Brauner is a Professor of Business Administration specializing in quantitative methods of market research at Esslingen University of Applied Sciences since September 2016. She serves as Program Coordinator for the Digital Business (Bachelor's) program and holds dual leadership roles as Head and Expert for Data Analytics at AnalyzES! - Regional AI Lab and Curator for Consulting Generation Esslingen eV (CEG).
Her academic foundation includes a Diploma in Business Administration from Pforzheim University with a focus on Market and Communication Research and a PhD from Leeds Beckett University. Prior to her professorship, she gained substantial industry experience through roles at Kantar (formerly TNS Infratest GmbH), Pforzheim University as a Research Assistant, and MHP - A Porsche Company as a Manager in Analytical CRM.
Professor Brauner's research explores the critical intersection of traditional market research and emerging data technologies. Her work emphasizes quantitative market research methodologies, data mining applications, and the practical integration of artificial intelligence in business contexts, with particular attention to ethical considerations. Recent publications reveal her focus on overcoming AI acceptance barriers in small and medium enterprises, highlighting significant organizational and psychological challenges that impact digital transformation efforts.
