Doroteja Vidmar serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Informatics at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, University of Maribor. She joined the institution in 2017 as a young researcher and earned her doctorate in 2021, subsequently expanding her role to include teaching and conference leadership.
Her research critically examines information technology's transformative impact across three interconnected domains:
- Business model innovation and digital entrepreneurship
- Environmental sustainability through technological solutions
- Societal implications of digital transformation
Professor Vidmar actively contributes to major European initiatives including ERASMUS+ projects BIPER (reengineering business informatics education) and ENVISIONAlliances (fostering industry-academia partnerships). She organizes the international Bled eConference and conducts specialized workshops on business model innovation.
