Doreen Palsgrove

Doreen Palsgrove is an Assistant Professor at UT Southwestern Medical Center, affiliated with the Department of Pathology's Division of Surgical Pathology. Her clinical expertise focuses on head and neck and genitourinary pathology. She holds a B.S. and M.D. from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), followed by residency training and fellowships in anatomic/clinical pathology, surgical pathology, and molecular/genetic pathology at Johns Hopkins Hospital. She completed a postdoctoral research fellowship in Dr. Victor Velculescu's laboratory, investigating cell-free tumor DNA detection in early and late-stage cancers.

Her research interests center on molecular characterization and classification of solid tumors, with a focus on linking histopathologic features to the detection of cell-free tumor DNA. She integrates molecular diagnostics and genomic analysis to advance cancer diagnosis and therapeutic strategies.
