Donna Wynne

Donna Wynne serves as Associate Dean for Academic Development and Student Experience in the School of Health at Robert Gordon University, where she oversees all aspects of course development, quality assurance, and student experience across the School's taught portfolio. A qualified physiotherapist with extensive clinical experience in neurological rehabilitation, she brings practical expertise to her academic leadership role.

Her research centers on innovative educational models, particularly neurological rehabilitation student-led clinics (SLCs), where she examines co-design approaches involving students and patients. Key interests include curriculum design/pedagogy, movement science in neurological populations, and self-management strategies for neurological conditions. Her work demonstrates how SLCs simultaneously enhance student clinical reasoning and provide valuable community services.

Dr. Wynne maintains significant external engagement through roles including Professional Educational Advisor for the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and Past Chair of the Scottish Board of Physiotherapy. She serves as external course advisor to multiple national allied health programs and contributes to evidence-based practice through reviews for the Joanna Briggs Collaborating Centre and international journals.

Her publication record shows consistent focus on SLC effectiveness, with recent works analyzing student perceptions, patient experiences, and co-design methodologies in neurological rehabilitation contexts.
