Donna Oldbury-Thomas is a Researcher at the Centre for Agroecology, Water and Resilience, Coventry University. She holds a PhD in Soil Science from the University of Worcester and dual undergraduate degrees in Plant Science and Business Studies from the University of Worcester and University of Gloucestershire. Her work bridges farming practices, business acumen, and environmental science to explore sustainable agricultural systems.
Research focuses on biochar, anaerobic digestate, and innovative land management strategies to enhance soil health and carbon sequestration while supporting farmers economically. Key interests include agricultural waste recycling, policy impacts on farming, and aligning practices with UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Publications highlight interdisciplinary approaches, such as analyzing human-lion conflict in Africa and contested policies like Nitrate Vulnerable Zones in Wales.
