Dong Li is a multilingual author and translator serving as Translator in Residence (Fall 2025), interpreted as a Visiting Professor position. He translates literary works from Chinese, English, French, and German, contributing significantly to cross-cultural literary exchange.
His primary research and creative interests encompass Translation Studies, Poetry, Creative Writing, Chinese Literature, and Comparative Literature. Li's work emphasizes the art of translation as a bridge between cultures, with a focus on contemporary Chinese poetry and fiction. His creative practice as a poet informs his translation approach, fostering deep engagement with linguistic nuances and cultural contexts.
