Donald MacLaren is an Honorary Professorial Fellow in the Department of Economics at the University of Melbourne. He earned his PhD from Cornell University in 1970 and has held academic positions at the University of Aberdeen and the University of Melbourne, where he served as Head of the Agricultural Economics and Extension Section and Associate Dean (Undergraduate Studies). His consulting work includes collaborations with the European Commission, OECD, and World Bank.
