Donald Holmes

Donald Holmes serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Iowa School of Law, specializing in government and commercial contracts counseling and litigation. He is also Managing Partner of Donald C. Holmes & Associates, P.A., a law firm with offices in suburban Maryland and Washington, D.C., where he has practiced for 40 years. Previously, he chaired the Government Contract Litigation section at Jones Day, the world's largest centrally managed law firm.

His academic credentials include:

• JD, with honors, from the George Washington University National Law Center (Research Editor of the George Washington Law Review)

Professor Holmes focuses on practical applications of contract law through his teaching at the University of Iowa, University of Virginia, and George Washington University law schools. He founded the Contract Research & Analytic Institute to develop practitioner-oriented solutions for daily contract challenges.
