Donald Feke

Donald Feke, PhD, is a Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the Case School of Engineering, Case Western Reserve University (CWRU). He concurrently serves as Senior Vice Provost for Academic and Faculty Affairs, overseeing faculty affairs, accreditation, and academic administration across all CWRU schools. His roles include managing the Office of the Registrar and the University Center for Innovation in Teaching and Education (UCITE).

Educational Background: Feke earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University (1976 and 1977, respectively). He then pursued a Master of Arts (Undesignated) at Princeton University (1978) and completed his PhD in Chemical Engineering at Princeton in 1981.

Research Focus: Feke's research centers on advanced materials and ultrasonic separation technologies. Key areas include particle science, colloidal phenomena, dispersive mixing, and acoustic processing techniques for multiphase systems (e.g., fluid-liquid or particle-liquid dispersions). His work explores applications in polymer composites, emulsion-based advanced materials, and biochemical processing using ultrasonic fields.
