Donald Drakeman is a Distinguished Research Professor at the University of Notre Dame, affiliated with the Center for Citizenship and Constitutional Government within the College of Arts and Letters. He holds dual teaching roles at Princeton University and Notre Dame Law School. His work focuses on constitutional interpretation, law-religion intersections, and biotechnology policy. Dr. Drakeman’s scholarship has been cited by the U.S. and Philippine Supreme Courts, and his book *Church, State, and Original Intent* (2010) earned a prestigious CHOICE award. He also serves as Founding Chairman of the Advisory Council for Princeton’s James Madison Program in American Ideals and Institutions.
Research interests include constitutional theory foundations, historical legal frameworks, and modern applications of original intent.
