Domino Renee Perez is a Professor in the Department of English and the Center for Mexican American Studies at the University of Texas at Austin. Her work bridges Young Adult Fiction, Mexican American and Latinx Literature, 20th and 21st Century American Literature, Film, Popular Culture, and Cultural Studies. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and has been recognized with the Regents’ Outstanding Teaching Award and induction into the Academy of Distinguished Teachers (2023).

Recent publications analyze topics such as Latinx YA fiction, Weird Westerns, and Gloria Anzaldúa’s legacy. Her teaching includes courses like E 344C (Young Adult Fiction/Film) and LAH 350 (Latinx Young Adult Literatures).
