Dominique Avery (she/her & they/them) is an Associate Professor and Associate Department Chair at Saybrook University's College of Social Sciences, Department of Counseling. With a PhD in Counselor Education from Idaho State University (2017), she previously served as a Teaching Assistant at Idaho State University and Messiah College.

Her clinical expertise spans trauma counseling, LGBTQ+ mental health, childhood sexual abuse recovery, and refugee family support. Research interests include:
