Dominika Pindus

Dominika Pindus is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Kinesiology and Community Health at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, with a faculty affiliation in the Neuroscience Program. She completed her PhD in Physical Activity, Public Health, and Cognition at Loughborough University and held postdoctoral positions at Northeastern University and the University of Cambridge.

Her research focuses on the interplay between physical activity, sedentary behaviors, and neurocognitive health across the lifespan. Key areas include:

• Physical activity and cognitive control in preadolescents
• Sedentary behavior interventions for brain health
• High-intensity interval training (HIIT) in aging populations
• Affective responses to exercise using neuroimaging

Dr. Pindus contributes to interdisciplinary research through her work at the intersection of kinesiology, public health, and neuroscience.
