Dominik Schneble is a Professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Stony Brook University. His research focuses on using ultracold atoms and quantum gases to explore fundamental questions in quantum simulations, spanning condensed-matter physics and quantum optics. He holds a doctorate from the University of Konstanz (Germany, 2002) and completed postdoctoral research at the MIT-Harvard Center for Ultracold Atoms. He was elected a Fellow of the American Physical Society in 2020.
- Affiliations: Department of Physics & Astronomy, Stony Brook University
- Office Locations: Physics A-106 and S-114
His work bridges theoretical and experimental quantum physics, particularly in simulating complex quantum systems. The research group actively investigates phenomena such as quantum phase transitions and many-body physics through controlled quantum systems.
Awards:
- Fellow of the American Physical Society (2020)
Lab/Team: Active leadership of a research group specializing in ultracold atom experiments. Collaborates with institutions like MIT-Harvard Center for Ultracold Atoms.
