معرفی
Prof. Dominik Neuenfeld is an Assistant Professor (W1) at the University of Würzburg's Department of Theoretical Physics III within the Faculty of Physics and Astronomy. His research focuses on quantum gravity, black hole physics, and holography, with particular expertise in AdS/CFT correspondence, quantum information theory, and gravitational defects. He holds a PhD from the University of British Columbia (2015–2019) and conducted postdoctoral research at the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics (2019) and the University of Amsterdam (2022). His work bridges fundamental aspects of quantum field theory and gravity, addressing topics such as black hole thermodynamics, entanglement entropy, and brane dynamics.
Academic career highlights include:
- 2023–present: W1 Professorship at University of Würzburg
- 2022: Postdoc at University of Amsterdam
- 2019: Postdoc at Perimeter Institute
- 2015–2019: PhD at University of British Columbia
His research explores cutting-edge questions in theoretical physics, including the flat space limit of AdS/CFT, quantum extremal islands, and gravitational subsystem energies. Publications span topics from Liouville gravity to infrared-safe scattering processes, reflecting interdisciplinary engagement with quantum information and high-energy physics.
Prof. Neuenfeld is affiliated with the Graduiertenkolleg 2994 (Particle Physics at Colliders in the LHC Precision Era) and contributes to the Chair of Theoretical Physics III. His work integrates advanced mathematical techniques with physical intuition, advancing our understanding of quantum gravity and holographic dualities.
