معرفی
Alejandra Castro Anich is an Associate Professor at the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics, University of Cambridge, since October 2022. Previously, she held Associate and Assistant Professor positions at the Institute of Physics, University of Amsterdam, from 2013–2022. Her research focuses on theoretical physics, particularly in quantum gravity, black hole physics, and string theory.
- Education: PhD in Physics (2009, University of Michigan, advisor Finn Larsen), Licenciatura in Astronomy (2004, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, advisor Maximo Bañados).
Research Interests: Alejandra investigates quantum corrections to black hole thermodynamics, holographic duality, and the structure of spacetime in low-dimensional gravity. Her work bridges string theory, AdS/CFT correspondence, and gravitational anomalies.
Publications: Recent articles explore de Sitter black holes, symmetric orbifold CFTs, and 3D quantum gravity via Chern-Simons theory. Her studies address warped geometries, higher spin currents, and gravitational Wilson lines.
Collaborations: She collaborates with institutions like Harvard, McGill, and the University of Amsterdam, contributing to global conferences on quantum field theory and cosmology.
