معرفی
Dominik M. Juraschek is an Assistant Professor at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), leading the Dynamical Quantum Matter group within the Department of Applied Physics and Science Education. He joined TU/e in 2024 as a tenured faculty member after serving as a Senior Lecturer (tenure track) at Tel Aviv University (2021–2024) and completing a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard University (2019–2021). His research focuses on engineering material properties through nonlinear vibrational processes, with a recent emphasis on chiral phonons—exploring angular momentum-driven phenomena in solid-state systems.
Education: PhD in Physics from ETH Zurich (2019), supported by an Early Postdoc.Mobility Fellowship from the Swiss National Science Foundation during his Harvard postdoc. Key achievements include the ETH Medal (2019) and an ERC Starting Grant (2024).
Research Interests: Chiral phonons, nonlinear phononics, ultrafast dynamics, magneto-phononics, and multiferroics. His work bridges theoretical and experimental approaches to uncover novel material behaviors and applications in next-generation devices.
Grants & Awards: ERC Starting Grant CHIRALPHONONICS (2024), ETH Medal (2019). His group, the Juraschek Lab (www.jurascheklab.com), investigates cutting-edge topics like terahertz control of phononic systems and light-induced magnetization.
Professional Activities: No ancillary activities reported. Active in academic leadership, grant acquisitions, and mentorship, though specific student advisees are not listed here.
