معرفی
Dr. Dominik Brida serves as a lecturer at the University of Ulm while maintaining a research position at the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics (IPP) in Garching. He received his doctorate in 2017 from the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics and the Technical University of Munich with a dissertation on "Power Dissipation in Tokamaks with Perturbation Coils."
Dr. Brida's research focuses on plasma physics and nuclear fusion energy, with particular expertise in the physics of the scrape-off layer in tokamak devices. His work encompasses investigation of plasma transport in the peeling layer, development of plasma scenarios with optimized power dissipation, and the development and operation of Langmuir probes in ASDEX Upgrade experiments.
At the University of Ulm, he teaches Plasma Physics II: Applications during the summer semester and Energy Supply, Climate Change and Nuclear Fusion Research during the winter semester. His academic work bridges theoretical plasma physics with practical fusion energy research applications.
Dr. Brida is affiliated with the Working Group "Physics of the Scrape-Off Layer" at the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics, where he has been a research associate since completing his doctorate in 2017.
