Dominic McVeigh

Role: Programme Lead and Senior Lecturer in Applied Criminal Justice Top-Up Degree at the University of the West of England (UWE). Affiliated with the College of Health, Science and Society and the HAS - Applied Sciences department.

Professional Background: Dominic McVeigh transitioned from policing to academia. He joined UWE in 2021 after serving with Gloucestershire Constabulary (2004–2013) and Avon and Somerset Constabulary (2013–2016), where he held roles like Tutor Constable and Family Liaison Officer. From 2016, he focused on police training and educational development within Avon and Somerset.
