Dominic Mc Sherry is a Reader in Psychology at the School of Psychology, Ulster University, with over 20 years of expertise in developmental psychology and trauma research. His work focuses on the lifelong impacts of childhood adversity and maltreatment, particularly for children in care systems, adoptive placements, or kinship care. As Principal Investigator (PI), he has secured £3 million in research funding and leads the ERSC-funded longitudinal 'Care Pathways and Outcomes' study, tracking 374 children from early childhood to adulthood.
