Dominic Lammar

Dominic Lammar is a doctoral candidate at the Munich School of Social Sciences and Technology (Technical University of Munich) since 2022. He is affiliated with the “Responsible Innovation Communication” research focus group, investigating public communication about Artificial Intelligence in Germany. His work emphasizes German media narratives on AI, scientists’ roles in shaping these narratives, and responses to structural inequalities in AI contexts.

Education:

• Bachelor’s in Liberal Arts and Sciences (Freiburg and London)
• Master’s in Science and Technology Studies (Goethe University Frankfurt)

Research Interests: Science Communication, Governance of Emerging Technologies, Critical Hype Studies, and the intersection of AI with societal issues like bias and structural inequities.
He explores how media representations frame AI’s societal impact and the responsibilities of scientific actors in public discourse.

Professional Experience: Taught as a teaching fellow at University College Freiburg (6 months prior to TUM).
