Professor Dominic Janes holds the position of Professor of Modern History at Keele University's School of Humanities. He is also a Professorial Fellow at the Doctoral College, University for the Creative Arts. His research focuses on cultural history, particularly the intersections of gender, sexuality, and religion in British contexts since the 18th century. He has authored and co-edited influential works, including the Oxford Handbook of LGBTQ History and a Leverhulme-funded project on homosexuality in the International Classification of Diseases.
