Domenico Troiano

Domenico Troiano is a Professor at the Academy of Fine Arts of Bologna (Ababo), teaching courses in Ornamental Plastic for first-year students and Contemporary Plastic Techniques for second-year students in the Decoration – Art and Environment program. He maintains regular office hours on Thursdays from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM and has been actively involved in the Bolognese art scene for decades.

Professor Troiano's research focuses on contemporary plastic arts, exploring the intersection between sculpture, painting, graphics, and architecture. His methodology emphasizes developing visual education that distinguishes naive spontaneity from research matured through specific cultural frameworks. He investigates material compatibility, environmental contextuality, and the semantic aspects of materials including their tactile, visual, aesthetic, and expressive values.

His artistic career spans over 25 years with numerous personal and group exhibitions throughout Italy, particularly in Bologna, Modena, and Matera regions. Notable acquisitions of his work include:
