Dolores Wolongevicz is an Associate Professor of Practice in Public Health and Director of the Health Professions Education Program at Simmons University. She holds a PhD in Medical Nutrition Sciences from Boston University School of Medicine, complemented by advanced degrees from Simmons College. Her roles include teaching courses on community-based research, health equity projects, and pedagogical methods such as Learning Theory & Practice and Curriculum Development. She co-chairs Simmons University's Institutional Review Board (IRB), reflecting her expertise in human subjects protections.
Dr. Wolongevicz's research focuses on leveraging technology-driven interventions to address non-communicable diseases, particularly among veterans, and exploring the social determinants of health related to obesity and cardiovascular disease.
