Dolapo Oluteye

Dolapo Oluteye is a Senior Research Fellow in Energy and Transport Policy at the Energy Institute, part of the Bartlett School of Environment, Energy and Resources at University College London. Her work focuses on equitable decarbonisation strategies in international shipping, leadership in global climate action, and sustainable infrastructure development.

With over 20 years of experience in civil engineering and environmental design, she has transitioned from marine infrastructure projects to interdisciplinary research on carbon-reduction frameworks and justice-centred energy transitions. Her current leadership of Afrocentric projects at the UN International Maritime Organisation (IMO) underscores her commitment to inclusive climate governance.

Her publications, including applications of BIM in asset classification and stakeholder engagement in sustainable projects, reflect her technical and policy expertise. She mentors young female climate academics and contributes to teaching, consultancy, and capacity-building initiatives for African nations.
