Dr. Dolana Mogadime is a Professor in the Department of Educational Studies at Brock University's Faculty of Education. As Director of Teacher Education, she focuses on advancing socially just and equity-centered pedagogies. Her research spans school ethnography, critical pedagogy, anti-racist feminist frameworks, and curriculum reform. She has supervised 18 MEd and 1 PhD completions, with 5 MEd and 2 PhD candidates currently in progress.
Her work emphasizes marginalized voices through life history studies and autobiographical methodologies. Notable contributions include leading SSHRC-funded research on educational equity ($131,688, 2005-09) and serving as Editor-in-Chief of Brock Education: A Journal of Educational Research and Practice (2014-2017). She has published widely on topics like media representations of Muslim women, South African educational leadership, and feminist mobilizing in academia.
