Doe Daughtrey is a full-time Lecturer in the School of Historical, Philosophical and Religious Studies at Arizona State University (ASU), where she has taught since 2003. She holds a Ph.D. (2012), M.A. (2002), and B.S. (1978) in Religious Studies, Education, and related fields. As a Faculty Affiliate at the Center for the Study of Religion and Conflict, she focuses on Mormonism, New Religious Movements, religious hybridity, and intersections of religion with gender/popular culture.
Her research explores LDS women’s spiritual practices combining Mormonism with New Age/Pagan elements, and emerging work on religion and trauma. Notable accolades include AAR leadership roles, board memberships, and teaching/nomination recognitions.
Daughtrey actively serves on academic committees, advises honors students, and engages in public outreach via media interviews about Mormonism and religious studies. Professional affiliations include the American Academy of Religion and National Association of Social Workers.
