معرفی
Dr. Dmitry Rachinskiy is a Professor of Mathematical Sciences at The University of Texas at Dallas (UT Dallas), affiliated with the School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. He holds a PhD (1997) and DSc (2002) from Russian institutions, with research focused on nonlinear dynamics, hysteresis systems, and applied mathematical modeling. His work spans interdisciplinary areas including physics, engineering, biology, and economics.
Key research interests include:
- Dynamics of systems with hysteresis (magnetic materials, smart materials)
- Laser dynamics (mode-locked lasers, synchronization)
- Population dynamics and epidemiological modeling
- Topological degree methods in bifurcation analysis
- Complex network dynamics and synchronization
- Recipient of prestigious awards including the Heisenberg Fellowship (2004) and Russian Academy of Sciences Medal (2000).
- Supervised 4 PhD and 2 MSc students, currently advising 3 PhD candidates.
- Teaching responsibilities include courses on differential equations, dynamical systems, and mathematical modeling in biology.
His research group (Nonlinear Analysis and Dynamical Systems) explores hysteresis phenomena across disciplines, with recent projects addressing hysteresis in economic models, epidemic spread dynamics, and nonlinear laser behavior. Collaborations with physicists, engineers, and biologists enable applied solutions to real-world problems.
