معرفی
Prof. Dmitry Pshezhetskiy is a Professorial Research Fellow and Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Norwich Medical School, University of East Anglia. He holds a PhD from Moscow State/Montreal Universities and has postdoctoral experience at institutions including Paul Sabatier University and Imperial College London. His research focuses on prostate cancer chemoresistance mechanisms, targeting sphingosine kinase-1 (SK1), and nanoparticle drug delivery systems. He has supervised numerous graduate students and serves on editorial boards for journals like the American Journal of Cancer Research.
Education:
- MSc (Summa Cum Laude), Lomonosov Moscow State University (2000)
- PhD, Moscow State/Montreal Universities (2003)
- Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery, Imperial College London (2015)
Research Interests: Molecular mechanisms of cancer pathogenesis, inflammatory response, cancer biomarkers, and targeted therapies. His team investigates SK1’s role in prostate cancer progression and therapy resistance. Recent work includes identifying SK1-regulated proteins for early cancer detection and developing nanoparticle systems for chemoresistant prostate cancer.
Publications Trends: His articles explore SK1 inhibition in combination therapies, nanoparticle-based drug delivery, and biomarker identification. Key themes include enhancing chemotherapy efficacy and understanding SK1’s therapeutic potential in prostate and breast cancers.
Awards:
- University of East Anglia Innovation Prize (2018)
- BACR AstraZeneca Young Scientist Award (2011)
- EACR Mike Price Young Scientist Award (2005)
Grants & Projects: Collaborates on projects such as epigenetic markers for prostate cancer detection and nanoparticle validation. Funders include Prostate Cancer Research Centre, The Big C Appeal, and University of Essex.
Labs/Teams: Leads research on tumor microenvironment and chemotherapy at Norwich Medical School, with collaborations in oncology and drug development.
