Dmitri Perkins is a Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering within the College of Engineering and Information Technology at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). He has held leadership roles including Senior Program Director at the National Science Foundation (2021-2024) and Lead Program Director for the NSF's Industry-University Cooperative Research Centers (2015-2019). His research spans wireless and mobile networking paradigms, including cognitive radio, sensor networks, and large-scale heterogeneous systems.
