Dirk van Dierendonck

Dirk van Dierendonck is Professor of Leadership and Management at Rotterdam School of Management (RSM), Erasmus University Rotterdam, where he has been affiliated since 2004. His research spans leadership development, positive organizational scholarship, HRM, and measurement development. He holds a PhD from Utrecht University and has authored over 80 scholarly articles in top-tier journals including the Journal of Management and Journal of Applied Psychology.

Research Interests: Van Dierendonck's work integrates leadership theory with human well-being, emphasizing servant leadership's role in organizational health. His studies explore how leadership behaviors influence employee flourishing, team dynamics, and ethical governance, with cross-cultural validations across eight countries. Recent research investigates asynchronous communication in multiteaming environments and the psychological mechanisms linking autonomy to cognitive processes.

Publications: His articles consistently focus on leadership effectiveness, psychological well-being interventions, and organizational behavior metrics.
