Dirk Van Hulle is a full professor of Literature in English at the University of Antwerp since 2016. He serves as Director of the Centre for Manuscript Genetics and leads the research group ‘Literature and Modernity’. He is a key figure in genetic criticism and textual scholarship, with editorial roles in major projects like the Beckett Digital Manuscript Project and Genetic Joyce Studies.
- Academic leadership: President of European Society for Textual Scholarship (2009-2013), Head of Department of Literature (2014-), Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Beckett Studies (2012-)
- Research focuses on Modernist literature, manuscript studies, and digital humanities, supported by ERC and BOF grants.
