Dirk Matten holds the Hewlett-Packard Chair in Corporate Social Responsibility and serves as Professor of Sustainability at York University's Schulich School of Business. As founding director of the Centre of Excellence in Responsible Business and former Associate Dean of Research (2014-2018, 2023-present), he examines business-society relations.
